Evening Lions Club helps MFD

The Marshalltown Evening Lions Club recently connected with the Marshalltown Fire Department to announce that the Marshalltown Fire Department was named as the primary recipient of this fall’s 2024 fundraising proceeds. Chief Cross and his fire fighters/rescue crew were very excited about the news and how much it means to the MFD to attain a fully equipped FAST RESCUE BOARD – a rapid interventional rescue system for home and water, estimated at $4,000. The Marshalltown Evening Lions are “pumping up” its efforts to help serve this community with its 2024 Annual Candy & Nut Sale Fundraiser. The fundraiser is in full swing with decadent milk chocolate and dark chocolate options and the prime quality fresh roasted and raw nuts. Helping to “Fire Up” the awareness and to make sweet and nutty options even more accessible are the community partners: Arnold Motor Supply, Claudia’s Beauty Salon, The Chop Shop, Lowe’s Flowers, Oliver Beene (Beauty Shop), Oliver Beene Designs, The Optical Center, Starla’s Classic Cuts and Stalzer’s Furniture Shop. The Marshalltown Evening Lions meet the first Wednesday evening of the month at 6:30 p.m. at Legends American Grill in Marshalltown. Visitors welcome. Membership is open.
