The first meeting of the Marshalltown Federation of Women’s Clubs Board Meeting was held Jan. 9, at 9:30 a.m., at Binford House with Amy Feisel, president, presiding with 10 members present. Organizing board committees and efforts for the year took place. New elected members of Kathy Deines, Pete Grady, Deb Johnson and Carol McInroy were welcomed.

The Passport Dining Club will start at 6 p.m. on Feb. 2 at Binford House. There are a few reservations left by calling 641-753-5450 for details. It is a fundraising event which is choice of 6 or 10 monthly meals (excluding January and December). Missy Sharer Pieters, caterer, prepares the 6-course meal served at Binford House. Part of the cost is tax deductible.

Two Binford Teas will again be held with the date to be determined later which are another fundraiser.

The next meeting will be at 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 13 at Binford House.
