Officers for the 2025-26 program year of Chapter MJ of P.E.O. were installed at the chapter’s March 3 regular meeting, held at the Marshalltown Arts and Civic Center. The officers are as follows: Bethany Currie, president; Kristin Meyer, vice president; Jennifer Allison, recording secretary; Bonnie Lowry, corresponding secretary; Janine Campbell, treasurer; Barbara McBride, Chaplain; Janice Ott, guard.

In addition to the installation of officers, chapter members heard from guest Charlotte Stangeland, who told about her many life experiences in mission work, as well as about various religious curricula and books she has had published.

Ana Marie Phkhaladze, an exchange student at Marshalltown High School from the country of Georgia and hosted by chapter member Currie and her family, also told the group about her community service project. She is working to create Care Packages to be distributed to local children in foster care, with the support of the Department of Human Services, and aided by children at Hoglan Elementary School. Members took up a collection to contribute to Ana Maria’s project and complimented her on her carefully thought-out approach and commitment to making a positive difference for Marshalltown’s children and youth.

Refreshments were served by hostess Lisa Cooper following the chapter business meeting.
