• Jose Trinidad Hernandez made an initial appearance on two counts of a probation violation charge, a possession of a controlled substance-second offense charge, a possession of contraband in a correctional facility charge, an escape charge and an interference with official acts charge. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Sept. 23 for the new charges of possession, escape and interference with official acts. Hernandez is being held without bond.
• Bryan Rodriguez Escamilla made an initial appearance on a robbery-first degree charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Sept. 23. Bond is set at $25,000 cash.
• Malachi S. Holmes made an initial appearance on a failure to file a written arraignment charge. Holmes has until Sept. 25 to file a written arraignment. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety.
