Arrests

• On Tuesday, Aug. 27, Christopher Lascola, 35, was arrested on a warrant charging him with absence from custody.

Accidents

• On Monday, Aug. 19, a car driven by Olivia Lynn Hughes, 23, of Conrad, was westbound on Iowa Avenue West near the intersection of Oaks Avenue when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Hughes car was estimated at $3,500.

• On Thursday, Aug. 8, a car driven by Gloria Marie Ochoa, 63, of Marshalltown, was southbound on Highway 330 when it struck a deer that entered the roadway resulting in heavy front end damage. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Ochoa car was estimated at $6,500.
