• Jason Christopher Lawrence made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. The probation revocation hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Sept. 30. Lawrence is being held without bond.
• Lance Matthew Schaum made an initial appearance on two counts of a possession of a controlled substance-third or subsequent offense charge, an eluding charge, a possession of drug paraphernalia charge, a reckless driving charge, two counts of a speeding charge, three counts of a failure to yield upon entering through highway charge and eight counts of a failure to obey a traffic control device charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 9. Bond is set at $100,000 cash only in the defendant’s name. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• A 16-year-old male made an initial appearance on a curfew violation charge. The juvenile pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.

• Damien Ezequiel Rosas made an initial appearance on a disorderly conduct charge. Rosas pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.
• Miguel Angel Tamayo Martinez made an initial appearance on a disorderly conduct charge. Tamayo Martinez pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.
• Jack Allen Edwards made an initial appearance on a disorderly conduct charge. Edwards pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.
• Kiley Dawn Versteeg made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 2 in Magistrate Court.
