• Juan Carlos Ibarra Ruiz made an initial appearance on an assault with intent to cause pain/injury charge. Ibarra Ruiz pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Jerry Allen Cripps made an initial appearance on an operating while under the influence-first offense charge, a possession of a controlled substance-first offense charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. Mark Torche is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 18. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• Daniel Dion Scates made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-third or subsequent offense charge. Leah Patton is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 18. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• Austin Leo Bollas failed to appear on a driving under suspension charge and the court found him guilty. The fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.

• Isabella Kae Morris made an initial appearance on an unlawful passing of a school bus-first offense charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 16 in Magistrate Court.

• Lanie Brenda Negrete failed to appear on a driving under suspension charge and the court found her guilty. The fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.

• Michael Todd Prewitt Jr. made an initial appearance on a carrying weapons on a school grounds charge. On advice of counsel, the preliminary hearing is waived.

• Drew Allen Inman made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge and a operating without interlock device charge. Joel Waters is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 18.
