• Edgar Mosqueda Meza made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault-third or subsequent offense charge. Patrick Peters is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 10. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Richard Louis Sweet Jr. made an initial appearance on a theft-second degree charge and a failure to appear for a contempt hearing charge. Dusty Clements is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing on the theft charge is set at 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 30. Bond is set at $5,000 cash. The contempt hearing is set for 11 a.m. on Oct. 16. Sweet is being held without bond.
• Harley Dean Ferch made an initial appearance on a parole violation charge, a pretrial release violation charge and a driving under suspension charge. Dusty Clements is appointed as counsel for the parole violation charge. The parole violation will be scheduled by the Administrative Law Judge. Ferch is being held without bond. Pre-trial release is revoked. Bond is set at $1,000 cash. A pre-trial conference on the driving under suspension is set at 9:30 a.m. on Oct 16 in Magistrate Court.
• Jessica Ann Cooke made an initial appearance on a theft-third degree charge. Benjamin Harris-Medina is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 10.
• Alma Rose Barboza made an initial appearance on a rabies vaccination violation charge. Braboza pleaded guilty and the fine is $500 with a $75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $635.
• Izek Jonathon Wayne Menne made an initial appearance on a selling or furnishing alcohol to minors charge. Menne pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.
• Fabiola Juarez Ramirez made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. Juarez Ramirez pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.
• Dustin Dean Umbaugh made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 30 in Magistrate Court.
• Jairo Mora Ortiz made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge, a possession of marijuana-first offense charge, a possession of drug paraphernalia charge and a failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way charge. Dusty Clements is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 30. Bond is set at $5,000 cash. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.
• Ramon Avalos made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 10.
