• Luke Dale Freland made an initial appearance on a controlled substance violation charge, a possession of methamphetamine-third or subsequent offense charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. Nathan Mundy is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 4. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court. Bond is set at $30,000 cash.

• Terry Lee Echols made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault-third or subsequent offense charge and a child endangerment charge. Mark Olberding is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 4. Bond is set at $7,000 cash. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

Echols was also seen on two counts of a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. The contempt hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Bond is set at $5,000 cash. A new no-contact order has been issued in this case.

• Jose Hirran Macias Flores made an initial appearance on a sex abuse-second degree charge and an assault with intent to commit sexual abuse charge. Arch Wilson is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 4. Bond is set at $27,000 cash. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Rebecca Ruth Haughey made an initial appearance on a possession of a controlled substance-first offense charge. Stephen Allison is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 14. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• Alfredo Ramiro Rico made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 16 in Magistrate Court.

• Ashley Kay Jackson made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Jackson pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.

• A 15-year-old male made an initial appearance on a reckless driving charge, a violation of a minor’s restricted license charge, three counts of a failure to obey a stop sign charge and two counts of a speeding charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 16 in Magistrate Court.
