• Carlos Mendoza, made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-first offense charge and a possession of a controlled substance-first offense charge. The publica defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 1. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.
• Tanner Scott Eygabroad made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault-second offense charge. Mark Torche is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 24. Bond is set at $2,000 cash. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Richard Paul Wayne Sindt made an initial appearance on an assault/displaying a dangerous weapon charge, an interference with official acts charge and a harassment-first degree charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 24. Bond is set at $2,000 cash. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Luis Adrian Ramirez made an initial appearance on a failure to maintain control charge, a driving under suspension charge, a leaving the scene of an accident charge, a no insurance-accident charge and a striking an unattended vehicle charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 6 in Magistrate Court.
• Robert Jeffrey Tavarez Gomez made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court.
• Andrew Charles Stengele III made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge and a driving under suspension charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 1.

• Brian Allan Arnold failed to make an appearance on a drivin under suspension charge and the court found Arnold guilty. The fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.
Oct. 11
• Juan Raul Velez made an initial appearance on three counts of a failure to appear for trial charge. The trial will be rescheduled by the District Associate Court. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only in the defendant’s name only.

• On Saturday, Oct. 12, Cristina Helfer, 32, was arrested for theft-fifth degree, providing false identification information and credit card fraud.
• On Friday, Oct. 11, Zachery Grady, 21, was arrested on a warrant charging him with eluding while exceeding the speed limit by 25 mph or more, driving while barred-habitual offender, possession of a controlled substance-second offense-marijuana and assault on persons in certain occupations.
