• Phillip Thomas Brooks made an initial appearance on an assault causing bodily injury or mental illness charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 30. Bond is set at $1,000 cash.
• Hunter Douglas Malcom made an initial appearance on an allow a dog at large charge. Malcom pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.
• Richard Earl Abney made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-first offense charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 8. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.
• Elizabeth Cristina Ramirez Avalos made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. Laura Eilers will represent Ramirez Avalos as counsel. The pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 20 in Magistrate Court.
• Victor John Bottomley made an initial appearance on a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. Bottomley pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.
• Alejandro Ramiez Lopez failed to appear on a driving under suspension charge and the court found him guilty. The fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.
• Kayla Elizabeth Ocampo made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge and a no insurance charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 8.
