• Marcos Servin made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for a pre-trial conference before a jury trial charge. The District Associate Court will reschedule the pre-trial conference and the jury trial. Servin is being held without bond.
• Beau Allen Malcolm made an initial appearance on two counts of a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. The contempt hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 8. Bond is set at $5,000 cash in defendant’s name only. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Antonio Casarez Jr. made an initial appearance on a parole violation charge. Mark Torche has been appointed as counsel. The parole revocation hearing will be scheduled by the Administrative Law Judge. Casarez is being held without bond.
• Jason Patrick White made an initial appearance on a failure to transfer title on a motor vehicle charge and a driving under suspension charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 13 in Magistrate Court.

• On Wednesday, Oct. 23, Beau Malcolm, 42, was arrested for contempt of court/violation of a no-contact order and on a warrant.
• On Wednesday, Oct. 23, Mary Rensch, 71, was arrested for theft-fifth degree shoplifting.
• On Tuesday, Oct. 22, Ryan Papakee, 52, was arrested for interference with official acts and public intoxication-first offense.
• On Tuesday, Oct. 22, Christopher Clark Sr., 49, was arrested on a warrant.

Accidents
• On Wednesday, Oct. 16, a minivan driven by Tan Ngoc Tran, 47, of Johnston, was westbound on 96th East when it struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Tran minivan was estimated at $8,000.
• On Sunday, Oct. 13, a car driven by Mung Suan Piang, 26, of Marshalltown, was westbound on Iowa Avenue when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Piang car was estimated at $5,000.
