• Pedro Daniel Rangel made an initial appearance on an unauthorized possession of weapons charge and a control of a firearm by a felon charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 22. Bond is set at $10,000 cash.
• Damien Scott Ryan Ritter made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. Dusty Clements will continue as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is set for 10 a.m. on Dec. 6. Ritter is being held without bond.
• Kassidy Faye Graham made an initial appearance on an unlawful passing of a school bus-first offense charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 4 in Magistrate Court.

• Mary Ann Rensch made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. Rensch pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.
• Wanda Jean Howard made an initial appearance on a rabies vaccination violation charge. Howard pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.

Arrests
• On Tuesday, Nov. 12, Tyler Rook, 31, was police cited for domestic abuse assault-simple.
• On Tuesday, Nov. 12, Pedro Rangel, 19, was arrested for unauthorized possession of offensive weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Accidents
• On Saturday, Nov. 9, an SUV driven by Sandra Lea Bakker, 63, of Parkersburg, was eastbound on 160th Street at the intersection with Underwood Avenue when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Bakker SUV was estimated at $5,000.
• On Saturday, Nov. 9, a pickup driven by Michael Dennis Podhajsky, 77, of Albion, was northbound on Marsh Avenue when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Podhajsky pickup was estimated at $5,000.
• On Tuesday, Nov. 5, an SUV driven by Nicholas Eugene Heintz, 42, of Marshalltown, was southbound on Underwood Avenue when it struck a deer that exited the west ditch heading east. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Heintz SUV was estimated at $8,000.
