• On Tuesday, Dec. 17, Salvador Pena, 52, was arrested for operating while under the influence-first offense.

Accidents
• On Friday, Dec. 13, an SUV driven by Marsha Dee Pettigrew-Schossow, 62, of State Center, was southbound on Eastman Avenue near 140th Street when it struck a dog that entered the roadway from the west ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Pettigrew-Schossow SUV was estimated at $3,000.
• On Tuesday, Dec. 3, an SUV driven by Cynthia Guadiana, 38, of Le Grand, was eastbound on Highway 30 when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Guadiana SUV was estimated at $2,500.
