• Ellissa Kaye Vancannon made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for an arraignment hearing charge. Patrick Peters is appointed as counsel. The arraignment hearing is rescheduled for 9 a.m. on Jan. 6, 2025. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety.

• Austin Eric Lowell made an initial appearance on a possession of a controlled substance-third or subsequent offense charge. Arch Wilson is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 27. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• Matthew Allen Sumpter made an initial appearance on a possession of a controlled substance-third or subsequent offense charge, a possession of drug paraphernalia charge, an interference with official acts charge and a burglary-third degree charge. Jennifer Weaver is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set at 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 27. Bond is $5,000 cash or surety. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• Jackelin Vazquez Flores failed to appear on a driving under suspension charge and the court found her guilty. The fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.

• Raul Tafolla Juarez made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Tafolla Juarez pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.

• A 17-year-old male made an initial appearance on a turning at an intersection charge, a curfew violation charge and a no valid driver’s license charge. The juvenile pleaded guilty to all charges. The fine on the turning at the intersection is $135 with a $20.25 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $210.25. The fine on the curfew violation is $110 with a $16.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $186.50. The fine on the no valid driver’s license is $70 with a $10.50 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $135.50.
