• James Lundy Kurth made an initial appearance on a possession of methamphetamine-first offense charge, an operating while under the influence-first offense charge, a failure to maintain control charge, a no insurance-accident charge and a striking fixtures upon a highway charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 19. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• Israel Moreno Jr. made an initial appearance on a theft-second degree charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 7. Bond is set at $5,000 cash.

• Trevor Dashawn Weidler made an initial appearance on two counts of a probation violation charge. The probation revocation hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on March 14. Weidler is being held without bond.

• Ashley Kay Jackson made an initial appearance on a violation of pre-trial release charge. Pre-trial release is revoked and bond is set at $2,000 cash.

• Emily Quintanilla Villa made an initial appearance on a rabies vaccination violation charge. Quintanilla Villa pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 sucharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.

• Matthew Allen Sumpter made an initial appearance on a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. Sumpter pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.

• Agustin Aguilera Lopez made an initial appearance on an unlawful passing of a school bus-first offense charge. Aguilera Lopez pleaded guilty and the fine is $325 with a $48.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $433.75.
