• David Duane Propp made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for an initial hearing on a theft-third degree charge. Leah Patton is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 31.

• Jorge Rangel made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and a leaving the scene of an accident charge. Rangel pleaded guilty to both charges. The fine on the driving under suspension is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50. The fine on the leaving the scene charge is $135 with a $20.25 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $210.25.

• Richard Lawson made an initial appearance on two counts of a trespass-first offense charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 12 in Magistrate Court.

• Oscar Madrigal Farias made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-first offense charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 31. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• On Friday, Jan. 10, Carlo Laroux, 42, was arrested for contempt of court/violation of a no-contact order.

• On Friday, Jan. 10, Deven Spinks, 34, was arrested for interference with official acts and a warrant.

• On Friday, Jan. 10, Nicholas Sayer, 29, was arrested for sexual abuse-third degree-by force-first offense.

• On Friday, Jan. 10, Jason Smith, 45, was arrested on a warrant charging him with driving while license is denied, canceled, revoked or suspended, driving while barred-habitual offender, no insurance-accident and three counts of violation of probation.
