• Joshua Crowe made an initial appearance onan extradition request from the State of Kentucky. Julia Cutler is appointed as counsel. The extradition hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Crowe is being held without bond.

• Jammar Dazmond Watkins made an initial appearance on a voluntary absence from custody charge and an interference with official acts charge. Stephen Allison is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on March 7. Bond is set at $5,000 cash.

• Swe Hlei Sung made an initial appearance on a operating while under the influence-first offense charge, a striking unattended vehicle charge and a no valid driver’s license charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on March 18. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• Michael Dean Willits made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for an arraignment hearing charge. The arraignment is rescheduled for 9 a.m. on March 7. Bond is set at $2,000 cash in defendant’s name only.

• Zachariah Dean Edwards made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. Dusty Clements is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is set for 1 p.m. on April 18. Edwards is being held without bond.

• On Wednesday, Feb. 26, Swe Sungsung, 35, was arrested for no valid driver’s license, striking unattended vehicle and operating while under the influence-first offense.

• On Wednesday, Feb. 26, Brett Ellison, 42, was arrested for operating while under the influence-first offense.

• On Wednesday, Feb. 26, Jammar Watkins, 30, was arrested for interference with official acts and on a warrant.

• On Wednesday, Feb. 26, Michael Willits, 58, as arrested on a warrant charging him with driving while barred-habitual offender.

• On Wednesday, Feb. 26, Zachariah Edwards, 41, was arrested for violation of probation.

Accidents

• On Wednesday, Feb. 26, a car driven by Candice Marie Cobb, 41, of Marshalltown, was westbound on the Garwin Road when it struck a deer which entered the roadway from the south ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Cobb car was estimated at $2,500.
