• Michael Joseph Scott made an initial appearance on an escape from custody charge, a failure to use safety belts charge, a providing false identification information charge, two counts of a violation of probation on a felony offense charge and a violation of probation on an aggravated charge. Patrick Peters is appointed as counsel on all charges. A preliminary hearing is set at 9:30 a.m. on March 21 for the escape, false information and safety belt charges. Bond is set at $5,600 cash. The probation revocation hearing for the felony charges is set at 10:30 a.m. on April 30. The probation revocation hearing on the aggravated charge is set at 11:30 a.m. on April 30. Scott is being held without bond on the probation violations.
• Juan Pablo Lopez Ortiz made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for a sentencing hearing charge. Stephen Allison is appointed as counsel. The sentencing hearing will be rescheduled by the District Associate Court.
• Kenneth Dean Earnest made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. Julie Cutler is appointed as counsel. The pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on April 16 in Magistrate Court.
