• Rueben Lee Hickman made an initial appearance on a harassment-second degree charge and two violation of probation charges. Dusty Clements is appointed in all cases. The preliminary hearing on the harassment charge is set at 9:30 a.m. on March 28. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Hickman is being held without bond.

• Rebecca Ruth Haughey made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for a pre-trial conference ahead of a jury trial charge. The District Associate Court will reschedule the pre-trial conference and jury trial. Bond is set at $1,000 cash.

• Benjamin Earl Feilmeier made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Feilmeier is being held without bond.

• Agustin Aguilera Lopez Jr. made an initial appearance on a harassment-third degree charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on April 9 in Magistrate Court.

• On Monday, March 17, Blake Lucas, 33, was arrested on a warrant charging her with violation of probation.

Accidents

• On Monday, March 3, a car driven by Yoner Perez Velazquez, 24, of Marshalltown, was eastbound on 330th Street when the driver swerved to miss hitting a deer resulting in the car driving off the road to the right and down into the ditch where it flipped over onto its top. No injuries were reported. Perez Velazquez was cited for no valid driver’s license, no insurance-accident and failure to maintain control. Damage to the Perez Velazquez car was estimated at $10,000.

• On Sunday, March 2, a car driven by a 17-year-old male from State Center was eastbound on 230th Street near Lafayette Avenue when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the juvenile’s car was estimated at $5,000.
