• Melissa Marie Carnahan made an initial appearance on a possession of a controlled substance-third or subsequent offense charge, a possession of drug paraphernalia charge and a violation of probation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing on the drug charges is et for 9:30 a.m. on May 8. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Bond is set at $3,000 cash.
• Joseph Michael Witte made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on June 11 in Magistrate Court.
