• Chelsea Rae Smith made an initial appearance on a trespass-first offense charge. Smith pleaded guilty and the fine is $500 with a $75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $630.

• Dustin Lee Carmer made an initial appearance on a possession of a controlled substance-first offense charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on May 16. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• George David Haywood made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. Mark Olberding is appointed as counsel. The next hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on May 2. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
