The Papa Murphy’s at 2500 S. Center St. Ste. A in Marshalltown has permanently closed, according to a sign posted on the front door.

At presstime, few details were available about why the take and bake pizza restaurant was shuttered, but several posts on social media made note of the closure on Monday and Tuesday.

Marshall County Beacon records indicate that the building is owned by Marshalltown Holding LLC, which is based in Staten Island, N.Y. Papa Murphy’s, which operates approximately 1,300 locations across 39 states, is the fifth largest pizza chain in the U.S.
