GRUNDY CENTER — A semi driver has been cited after a rollover accident near the Highway 14/175 intersection in western Grundy County Friday morning that resulted in the death of about 25 hogs.

According to Grundy County Sheriff Kirk Dolleslager, the semi hauling swine was going too fast to negotiate a sharp curve and lost control and tipped over while traveling westbound on the eastbound on ramp.

The area was temporarily shut down to traffic as the scene was cleared, and the driver, Chase Koenigsfeld of Wellsburg, was cited for failing to maintain control, improper use of lanes and defective tires.
