MCC LPN program highly ranked

PracticalNursing.org, a leading resource for Practical Nursing students, is announcing that Marshalltown Community College’s PN program has achieved a top ranking in the assessment of Iowa nursing programs. MCC is ranked in the top five programs in the state. As a prominent authority in LPN program rankings, PracticalNursing.org has been publishing its rankings since 2014.

Becoming a licensed practical nurse is a rewarding and promising career, with the Bureau of Labor Statistics predicting growth of nearly 9% for the industry through the year 2029. Those ready to take the first step on this nursing journey should research and enroll in an LPN program in the state. LPNs in Iowa earn approximately $24.71 per hour, which equates to an average annual salary of $51,400. This is roughly $4,460 per year less than the national average.

The school chosen is important when it comes to getting an LPN license. Approved programs in Iowa are offered at community colleges, technical centers and private career school. After careful review of NCLEX-PN exam first-time pass rates over the past several years, PracticalNursing.org has ranked the top five programs.
