As a veteran himself, Anderson Funeral Homes Owner Jody Anderson has a strong passion for thanking those who have served, so he decided to do something special for the members of the Marshalltown Combined Honor Guard on Tuesday afternoon. With the American Legion Post 46 building temporarily closed, he made alternative arrangements with Old Timer Tavern Owner Rod Bailey and purchased tenderloins from Clare’s for all Honor Guard members who wished to have a sandwich and a cold beverage for lunch. Anderson said Bailey was quick to agree to his proposal, and he hopes to return to the Legion next year.
