Toledo man arrested during traffic stop
The Marshalltown Police Department arrested a wanted man during a traffic stop on Thursday.
Thomas Daniel Sheets, 38, of Toledo, wanted for violating a no contact order, was stopped on Marion Street.
During the stop, MPD officers found a loaded firearm and methamphetamine in Sheets’ vehicle. He has been charged with possession with intent for delivery of methamphetamine, a Class B felony; possession of a firearm as a felon and failure to affix a drug tax stamp, both class D felonies.
A class B felony carries a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison, and the maximum for a class D felony is a $7,500 fine and five years in prison.
