Due to ongoing water issues at the Marshalltown Mall, the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Marshalltown DMV will be operating from a temporary location at Iowa Valley Community College to serve customers from Jan. 24-31, until further notice.

The temporary service center will be located in the Iowa Valley Community College District Administration Building. Hours, parking, entrance and contact information is below. Signage will be in place to direct customers to the conference room where DOT staff will be located.

Dates and Hours: Jan. 27 – Jan. 31: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Location: Iowa Valley Community College District Administration Building, 3700 S. Center St., Marshalltown

Customers can park in Parking Lot G, enter the building at Entrance 11. Enter between Business and Community Solutions and Iowa Valley Technology Services.

DOT staff have been contacting customers to reschedule as many appointments as possible. Many customers, including commercial driver’s license holders, may be able to complete driver’s license business online at www.iowadot.gov.

If people need to be seen at one of the other driver’s license service centers, the best way to get in and out quickly is to schedule an appointment at: iowadot.gov/mvd/other-appointments. Walk-in customers will be served as time allows, but there may be a considerable wait time.
