On Friday, investigators with the Mid-Iowa Drug Task Force served a narcotics search warrant at 109 N. 2nd St. in Marshalltown, and as a result, four suspects were arrested and jailed on various criminal charges.

Linda Smith, 55, of Marshalltown was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, a Class B felony, possession of marijuana second offense, an aggravated misdemeanor, possession of psilocybin mushrooms second offense, an aggravated misdemeanor, failure to affix a drug tax stamp, a Class D felony, prohibited acts, an aggravated misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Damien Ritter, 29, of Marshalltown was charged with possession of methamphetamine third or subsequent offense, a Class D felony, possession of drug paraphernalia and prohibited acts.

Bradley Moeller, 33, of Marshalltown was charged with possession of methamphetamine third or subsequent offense, a Class D felony and possession of drug paraphernalia, and Shelby Powell, 29, of Marshalltown was charged with possession of methamphetamine, a serious misdemeanor and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to a press release, investigators conducting a search of the residence uncovered evidence of drug use and distribution, seizing approximately 60 grams of suspected methamphetamine, along with marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms, a firearm, and various drug-related paraphernalia.

Smith and Ritter were also arrested on outstanding criminal warrants linked to a prior investigation from October of 2024, during which the Task Force executed a narcotics-related search warrant at the same residence, seizing approximately 250 grams of methamphetamine, along with marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms, and evidence of drug use and distribution.

The Task Force executed the search warrant with assistance from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, the Marshalltown Police Department, and the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement.

As of Sunday, all four of the suspects remained in custody. Smith’s bond is set at $100,000, and Ritter was being held on a $15,000 bond. Moeller is being held on a $5,000 bond, and Powell is still being held on a $1,300 bond.
