Rep. Barker sworn in for the 91st General Assembly

DES MOINES — On Jan. 13, Rep. Brett Barker (R-Nevada) was sworn into the Iowa House of Representatives on the first day of the 91st General Assembly. The swearing-in ceremony was shortly followed by opening remarks by Speaker of the House Pat Grassley, outlining some of the priorities of the Legislature for the 2025 session.
This is Rep. Barker’s first term in the Iowa House of Representatives. He serves as the Vice Chair of the Health and Human Services Committee. He also serves on the Economic Growth and Technology, Natural Resources and Commerce Committees, as well as the Health and Human Services Appropriations Subcommittee.
