The annual Battle of the Books competition at Lenihan Intermediate School is once again in the books after students celebrated the conclusion during an awards ceremony at the Marshalltown Public Library on Friday afternoon. Erika Melchor from the Animal Rescue League brought a dog the kids could pet as a reward for their hard work, and the Assistance League of Marshalltown also played a key role in the competition. Winning teams and individuals also got to take home new copies of a book of their choice.

Starting at $4.38/week.
