Traffic control changes will take place the evening of April 2 and beginning April 3 for the Center Street Median Project, north of Anson Street.

Phase 1 of construction will wrap up and Phase 2 — replacement of the center median — will commence Thursday afternoon. During Phase 2, there will be lane reductions in both directions:

Northbound traffic will be merged into the outside lane. Traffic will be able to turn into Hy-Vee or continue straight (north) on Center St, over the viaduct.

Southbound traffic will be shifted into the western lanes. The left turn lane will be closed and the inside straight-thru lane will become a temporary left turn lane for those heading east on Anson Street.
