Cremation rites have been accorded under the care of the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Per the wishes of Velma and her family, there will be no formal services at this time. She will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be directed to Suncrest Hospice in Des Moines.
