A funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, January 2, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell Family Funeral Home of Marshalltown. Pastor Doug Van Wey will be officiating. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation one-hour prior to the service, also at the funeral home. There will be a time for food and fellowship following the service. Edith will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery in Melbourne. Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation. She is survived by her children: Carol Best (Randy), Cheryl Davenport (James Jr.), James Pothast (Terri), Julie Giannetto (Randy) and Danny Pothast (Linda); her eight grandchildren and 17 great- grandchildren.
