Dirk Tjossem
Dirk Tjossem passed away January 10, 2025, in his home in Fall City, Washington. Dirk was born July 2, 1951, in Marshalltown, Iowa to Eleanor and Paul Tjossem. He graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1969. He received his B.A. from Ripon College and M.B.A. from the University of Iowa. Dirk was a software engineer, contributing his talents to Apple Computer, Microsoft, Adobe, and Sonosite.
Dirk married Melody, in Anaheim, California on May 20, 1984. They moved to Fall City in 1998. Dirk was a devoted husband, a loving father, and grandfather. He took great pride in supporting his sons as a Little League coach and Boy Scout leader.
Dirk is survived by his wife, Melody Tjossem; his sons, Bryce Tjossem and Kyle (Cynthia) Tjossem, both of Fall City, WA; his mother, Eleanor Tjossem of Marshalltown, Iowa; his siblings, Karen (Andy) Anderson of West Des Moines, Iowa, and Erik Tjossem of Marshalltown, Iowa; and his grandson, Ryan Tjossem. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Tjossem.
A celebration of Dirk’s life was held on Friday, January 17 at Flintoft’s Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Dirk’s memory to a charitable organization of your choice.
