Julia Mary Benda, 104, of Elberon, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 10:30 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama with Father Michael McAndrew as celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery in rural Vining. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2025, from 9:30-10:30 AM prior to the service at St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathy (Leonard) Albright, of Tama; three granddaughters; seven great grandchildren; two great-great granddaughters and a new baby girl in April; brother, Peter (Marilyn) Husak, of North Liberty; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Husak, of Toledo, and Marge Husak, of Grinnell; many nieces and nephews; and friends at Premier Estates of Toledo.
Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
