Vaughn LeRoy Harvey, 75, of Grafton, WV, passed unexpectedly at home on Saturday, January 11, 2025. He was born in Marshalltown, lowa on July 12, 1949, the only son of LeRoy William and Eleanor Marie (Dobson) Harvey. In addition to his parents Vaughn was preceded in death by his wife Shawn Kerrée Harvey, one daughter Carmen R. Harvey and an infant sister Rebecca M. Harvey. Vaughn is survived by three children: Justin R. Harvey of Fort Wayne, IN, Angela K. Harvey Young (fiancé Trent Leaming) of Fort Wayne, IN, and Ben A. Wheelock of Grafton; four grandchildren: Jacob, Koleton, Lillian, and Rory Young; and three sisters: Judy Harvey of Marshalltown, IA, Sue Dunham-Osman (Earl) of Nevada, IA, and Faith Dorn-Spiece (Al) of Urbandale, IA. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Vaughn served honorably in the Army National Guard. He received his Master's Degree in Mathematics from Purdue University and was an Engineer with TMC Technologies doing work through NASA. Vaughn had a love for technology and mathematics. He also enjoyed Civil War and American History, as well as genealogy. He was a talented singer, and shared that gift whenever he could. He enjoyed tending to his fish pond at home, and was an avid evergreen enthusiast. Family and friends will be received at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home 950 George Washington Hwy Grafton, W, on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 10am until 12 Noon at which time funeral services will be conducted.
