A Mass of Christian Burial for Christopher will be held on Thursday, March 13 beginning at 10:30 a.m. at St Francis of Assisi Parish -St. Henry Church in Marshalltown. Cremation will follow services, with private inurnment to be held in Riverside Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12 at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Fritz's name may be directed to the Knights of Columbus Council 966 or to the family for the purchase of a bench at the cemetery. Those left to remember and cherish his memory are his wife, Theresa “Terri” Polt; his stepdaughter, Kristen, of Spirit Lake; his parents, Roger and Lois Polt, of Marshalltown; his brothers: Jake (Elise) Polt, Anthony “Tony” (Christy) Polt, of Marshalltown; sisters: Amanda (Joe) Haspert and Addie (Ryan) Bane.

He is also survived by several other relatives.
