Services for Dave will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 6:30 P.M. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. A visitation for family and friends will be held beginning at 5:00 P.M. until time of services. Those in attendance are encouraged to wear purple. He will be laid to rest on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Marshalltown. Those left to remember and cherish his memory are his wife, Laurie McDonald; his children: Sondra (Harvey) Allen, Jarrod (Jennifer) McDonald, Kristina (Kody) Miller, Abbie McDonald, Haley (Bryant) Williams, Johnny (Christa) Huff, Shanda Odell and Eric Odell; his 15 grandchildren and his grandson on the way; one great-grandchild; his siblings: Norman McDonald, Bonnie Martin, Malinda Lutes, Chad Moody, Heather Sanchez, Felicia Rodriguez, Amanda Merical, Christopher McDonald, Andrea Tisdale and Nathan McDonald; alongside numerous nieces and nephews and his furry four-legged companion.
