Response to Kevin Lewis
Who would have thought that a few printed sentences in a local newspaper could create such angst in people. There is a man in South Carolina who did not like an article I wrote about Trump winning the presidency. Most certainly he has the right to disagree with me. Although we have never met, he used endearing phrases as,” foolish, delusional nut, bozo award winner and a blasphemer.” In the middle of his dialogue, he claimed he was a Christian. Kevin, by your words I think you cannot claim Christianity, or at least one who knows the language of the believers. You will find that God is our creator and He has the right to correct/protect those who believe in Him. In the three years Jesus preached about His kingdom, He did many miracles of healing, walking on water and restoring life after it had died! The Bible says those are miracles. Mr. Trump claims that the preservation of his life was a miracle. The bullet missed when he turned his head just at the right moment. There are two things present in your letter: You use this world’s language to inform us that you reason the same way as the world. Kevin never wants to meet me ’cause he would have to “curse or rail against me.” We see in your speech that you do not use Christian love. “If you would ever move to Marshalltown,” as you claim, I would give you the right hand of fellowship. We are individuals with differing ideas, nothing more, nothing less. God loves us because we are His people. Isn’t that a miracle all alone? Fortunately, the TR is willing to print some of our thinking, even yours. May God, whom you find unable to cause miracles, continue to bless you.
