Sue Cahill is a quality leader
For years as teacher, I have taught students in my classes about quality work. What is looks like in its various forms. How to achieve it in daily work and assignments so that it shows up clearly on tests and final drafts of writing assignments.
Sue Cahill is quality leader for Marshall County in state legislature.
How do I know?
Sue has been an educational leader in the Marshalltown School District for years. She started as a classroom teacher working diligently to become a quality teacher and help other teachers in her building do the same. She went on to be a quality teacher librarian curating library content for students and teachers. Sue has been a district level teacher leader serving as the mentor coordinator. This is a job tasked with helping new teachers and teachers new to the district acclimate to our district, know the expectations, and grow their own excellence. This level of quality is achieved through years of consistent and diligent work. Sue has brought and will continue to bring that knowledge and skill set to the legislative branch in Des Moines.
Further, Sue has been instrumental in supporting teachers through the teachers union, the Marshalltown Education Association. She has served numerous roles in this organization including being the President of the Association three times throughout her career. This union work is about supporting teachers in the classroom. Certainly, part of that work was about protecting teacher rights. And much of this work was about Sue using the power of the union to help teachers grow skills, knowledge and ability. Again, quality support for all teachers.
This is why I know that Sue Cahill is a quality leader for teachers and for all people in Marshall County. Her experience, knowledge, and ability to communicate with all will serve Marshall County well.
