Happy Easter
Ecclesiastes 3:11 God has placed eternity in the hearts of humankind. Eternity is a long time, it is something we should want to get right. Author Todd Hampton said you are living in the story of the Bible right now. We are living in the in-between of the beginning and the end of the Bible.
Here’s the good news, regardless of where you are in life’s journey or what you are doing, you can come to Jesus. Read the story of the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the prodigal son in Luke Chapter 15 and you will see how important you are to God. This Easter, remember there’s hope for each and everyone of us through Jesus and his victory over the grave. Dr. Vince Vitale said, God’s love is a no-ifs love. For the Christian, nothing can separate you from God’s love, and nothing can diminish God’s love for you. Nothing. He also said, the central gift of the Christian message has never been the claim that Christians will be morally perfect here on Earth.
Authentic Christianity is not a religion or an institution or a set of rules, but is those that believe in and trust Jesus. In John Chapter 14, Jesus tells us himself, He is the way, the truth and the life. Over the entrance to Uppsala University in Sweden are the words “to think free is great, but to think right is greater.” People remember it’s never too late to call on Jesus. The thief on the cross called out to Jesus with his last breath, and he was saved.
Philosopher Alvin Plantings said “Natural selection doesn’t care what you believe; it is interested only in how you behave.” Atheistic evolution aims at survival, not truth. The truth is everything, all atheists and religions of the world suppress the truth about Christianity.
The Bible says what can be known about God is plain to them because God has shown it to them. The ungodly are without excuse and their foolish hearts were darkened, claiming to be wise, they became fools. In closing, Philosopher Roger Scruton said “A writer who says that there are no truths is asking you not to believe him, so don’t.”
