AMES — Iowa State sophomore Addy Brown was named to the Katrina McClain Power Forward of the Year watch list on Thursday as Iowa State’s second representative among the Naismith Starting 5 Awards.

Brown was one of Iowa State’s most well-rounded players as a freshman, finishing last season with 10 double-doubles.

Brown became the only player in ISU women’s basketball history and one of two Power 5 women’s players in 2023-24 to record at least 400 points, 250 rebounds and 150 assists in a single season.

Her efforts earned her All-Big 12 Honorable Mention and a spot on the conference’s All-Freshman team.

Brown holds Iowa State’s second-best marks by a freshman for season field goals (164), assists (159) and rebounds (269) and third-best season point total (429).
