AMES — The Utah women’s basketball team dropped 13 3-pointers inside Hilton Coliseum and remained unbeaten in Big 12 play with a 75-67 over Iowa State on Sunday evening, handing the Cyclones their first home loss of the season.

Maye Toure poured in a team-leading 24 points to go with game-highs of nine rebounds and three blocked shots for the Utes (12-3, 3-0), who made 13 treys as a team. Utah shot 13-for-26 from distance, while the host Cyclones (10-6, 1-2) were just 5-for-20 from long range.

Iowa State trailed by as many as 11 points in the first quarter, but turned the game into a back-and-forth affair by rallying in the second. The lead changed hands eight times in the third quarter before Utah grabbed the lead for good at 45-44. The Utes closed the period on a 10-5 surge and held off the Cyclones the rest of the way.

Kennady McQueen pitched in 15 points for Utah, going 6-for-7 from the field and 3-for-3 from 3-point range.

Audi Crooks eclipsed 1,000 points for her career at Iowa State by scoring a game-high 29 points on 11-of-20 shooting from the field. She also had a team-high eight rebounds. Emily Ryan added 18 points and six assists, while Addy Brown chipped in 10 points, eight assists and six boards in the loss.

The Cyclones go on the road for a conference game at Arizona State on Wednesday before facing Arizona on Saturday.
