ST. LOUIS — Katie Dinnebier led the Drake women’s basketball team to an undefeated weekend and earned her fourth-straight Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week honor as a result.

Dinnebier, a senior guard, helped the Bulldogs extend their win streak to seven in a row by averaging 23.5 points, 6.5 assists, 5.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals in the Bulldogs’ undefeated homestand.

Dinnebier started the weekend with a 16-point, 9-assist, 6-rebound performance in an 86-63 defeat of Illinois-Chicago, and followed that with 31 points, five rebounds, four assists, and four steals in a blowout win of Valparaiso.

Dinnebier’s 31 points marked her fifth 30-point game of the season and seventh of her career, marking the second-highest total by a player in NCAA Division I women’s basketball this year.
