Illinois-Chicago delivers Drake’s first loss, 74-70
CHICAGO — Jordan Mason scored 17 points off the bench to lead Illinois-Chicago over Drake 74-70 on Wednesday, handing the Bulldogs their first loss of the season.
Javon Jackson scored 16 points and Tyem Freeman added 15 points for the Flames (10-4, 2-1 MVC).
Bennett Stirtz finished with 30 points and 12 assists for Drake (12-1, 2-1). Cam Manyawu added 13 points, 12 rebounds and two steals for Drake.
The Bulldogs host Murray State on Sunday.
