Olsen helps Iowa bottle up Nebraska
LINCOLN, Neb. — On the heels of a five-game losing streak, the Iowa women’s basketball team has won five in a row.
The Hawkeyes knocked down a season-high 12 3-pointers and held Nebraska in check long enough to notch an 81-66 victory over the host Cornhuskers in Monday’s Big Ten Conference game at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Lucy Olsen scored her Hawkeye-best 32 points to go with seven assists and six rebounds in leading Iowa (17-7, 7-6) back above .500 in the Big Ten.
Taylor McCabe, a Fremont, Neb., native, made five 3-pointers and finished with 17 points, and Sydney Affolter added 13 points for the Hawkeyes.
Alberte Rimdal scored 20 points off the bench to lead Nebraska (16-8, 7-6).
