Iowa’s Davis selected to WBCA Thirty under 30 list

Tania Davis
IOWA CITY — University of Iowa assistant coach Tania Davis was named to the 2025 Thirty Under 30 List by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association on Thursday.
Davis just finished her second year with the Iowa women’s basketball program and was a pivotal piece in Iowa’s run to the national title game in 2024. She works closely with Iowa student-athletes, helping them develop into leaders and role models in the Iowa City community.
Davis was an assistant coach at Omaha from 2021-2023. The program won 22 games and advanced to the Summit League championship game in 2023. She had a two-year stint as a graduate assistant at Clemson, where she oversaw the team managers while assisting with workout plans, recruit visits and film breakdown.
The WBCA Thirty Under 30 program was created to recognize up-and-coming coaches 30 and under. Each honoree has exemplified their involvement in community service, mentorship, and professional manner and attitude.
“Congratulations to the coaches who have distinguished themselves so early in their careers,” said WBCA Executive Director Danielle Donehew. “The WBCA is pleased to recognize this up-and-coming talent in our coaching family. We celebrate their effort on the basketball court as teachers and equally applaud the extensive role they play in impacting the lives of their student-athletes.”
