Cyclones’ Travis drafted by Colts
GREEN BAY, Wis. — Iowa State offensive tackle Jalen Travis was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the fourth round of the NFL Draft on Saturday.
Travis, a Minneapolis native, is the first Iowa State offensive lineman drafted since 2013 (Carter Bykowski) and the highest since Keleche Osemele was taken 60th overall in 2012.
Travis, who was taken with the 127th pick, played one season for the Cyclones after transferring in from Princeton. He helped ISU to a program-record 11 wins and earned all-Big 12 honorable mention honors. Travis missed the first two games of the season due to injury before starting the final 12, contributing on a line that paved the way for 27 rushing touchdowns — the fourth-most in program history.
Iowa State broke the school record for points scored in a season (435).
